WAR

WAR

A small boy I recently spoke with gave me a recipe to reduce the number of wars fought around the world: “You know doctor, my mum has always woken us up in the morning, dressed us, given us breakfast, driven us to school, come to fetch us, prepared lunch, cleaned up after lunch, helped us with our homework, taken us to tennis, prepared dinner and put us to bed. She does so every day and if we are ill, she gets very worried. I don’t think she would ever decide to send us to war, even when we grow up”. Sometimes kids have intuitions. Maybe fathers should be more involved in the everyday affairs of bringing up children.
